ABOUT STUDIO YALDA SEPAHPOUR

My name is Yalda Sepahpour. I am a large-scale painter from Tehran, Iran currently living and working out of Tijuana, Mexico.  My work is inspired by antiquity, spontaneity in nature, and strength in femininity. I have shown and sold at LA Art Show, Art Basel, Art Beijing, Shanghai Art Fair, Texas Contemporary, and more.
I have been featured in prominent media outlets including Vogue, New York Times, Al Jazeera, Televisa, Telesur, BBC Persian, and Harper's Bazaar, among others.
I am currently releasing and touring an illustrated cocktail recipe book inspired by Persian, Mesopotamian, and Levantine flavors. The book is a collaboration with my partner Andreas Araiza Kokinis, a UCSD Latin American History professor and veteran mixologist/chef.
